Job Description

Individual is responsible for engineering and process support of production, as measured by labor efficiencies, Packaging, Bill of Material, Standard and Routings.
Daily expectations
- 25% Computer Data Entry. Updating MRP / ERP. Processing both Product and Process ECR / ECN
- 25% New Product Introduction Support (Prototypes / Production Launch)
- 25% C.O.S. Support (specifically 5S, Hr/HR)
- 25% Production Support. Day to Day problem solving
Specific Duties:
• Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods and standards, Updating QAD as needed

• Updates new standards when changes are made, communicating with entire management team about impact
• Maintain Hr/Hr forms for production floor
• Supports the entire cross functional team through the N.P.I. process
• Solves problems confronting manufacturing performance, directly or indirectly. Identifying Root Cause, implementing corrective actions, sustaining improvements and identifying support as required.
• Proactively identify and implement process improvement opportunities throughout the company. Utilize industrial engineering principles and techniques to validate recommended process modifications.
• Develop and maintain work standards and store characteristics supporting company strategies to promote efficient staff and facility utilization including documentation of operational procedures, observations, meetings and required follow up.
• Plans, schedules and provides training and mentoring for the department as may be requested or required.
• Participates in and supports the Company's Six Sigma initiatives.
• Participates and leads Total Lean events to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Reviews and implements assigned ECRs relating to plant process improvements.
• Through execution of lean initiatives drive performance excellence and embrace the role of a change agent for the company
• Promote, educate and instill a culture of waste identification and elimination throughout the manufacturing operation by utilizing Lean Manufacturing concepts and the principles of Kaizen (continuous improvement).
• Must be willing to travel, work extended hours and weekends as required to perform the objectives of this function.

Minimum of 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in an engineering based lean, pull-type, reduced inventory products system.
Capable of multi-tasking and decision making with little to no direction
Ideal candidate would be a "hands-on" person with shop floor experience. Basic Computer skills. Knowledge of QAD a plus!
