SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, the Manufacturing Engineering Technician I is responsible for assisting with the research, design, and development of systems, processes, machines, tools, and equipment in order to ensure manufacturing processes in the harness and coaxial manufacturing departments are conducted in the most economic, efficient, and effective way possible

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• • Support manufacturing processes and operations for basic and mid-complexity harness and coaxial assemblies
• • Improve manufacturing efficiency by assisting with training efforts and support on the manufacturing floor
• • Review, develop, plan, and coordinate basic and mid-complexity processes used to manufacture product
• • Assist with the evaluation, research, and recommendation process for manufacturing quality control processes, manufacturing methods, process control, tooling needs, and assist in the development of fixturing and go/no-go gauges
• • Assist with time study projects to validate manufacturing build times, and assist in the development of solutions to continuously improve the build cycle
• • Support engineering documentation reviews, including wiring diagrams, block diagrams, schematics, and assembly drawings, and assist with the development of test programs, and assist with the manufacture of test adapters in support of the product realization process

QUALIFICATIONS:

• • Two year technical degree in an engineering or related field, or 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience within an ISO controlled and/or government regulated environment
• • Experience within the Aerospace Industry with exposure to AS9100 and FAA regulations preferred
• • Outstanding organizational skills and experience with managing multiple deadlines at once
• • Strong technical skills including the ability to read and understand technical drawings
• • Proficient in communicating information to individuals and groups in both written and presentation form
• • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, and is able to use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) & associated software efficiently
• • Strong desire to work in a team made up of a cross functional group of individuals
• • Self-starter that is able to work extended hours as required to satisfy customer deadlines
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• • There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position

• • Active IPC-WHMA-A-620 certification required
