Job Description

Under the general direction of the two Market Leaders, this position is responsible for planning and executing all company communications media both in print and electronic format to effectively represent the company's products and services to current and prospective customers as well as external stakeholders. This role will also prepare the internal communication within the division. The incumbent must have the ability to partner with all functions, including those most directly interfacing with current of future customers. Finally, successful representation at Trade Shows within budget and designated timeframe is also assigned to this role.


* Leverage industry and customer needs to proactively set the strategic direction for marketing programs and communications for the business. Align the strategy with key internal stakeholders.
* Prepare and present annual marketing communications plans which will increase CIT's brand awareness, revenues and marketing return on investment via leveraging packaging, merchandising, literature, advertising, editorial, online activities or any other marketing communications initiatives.
* Manage relationship with external marketing firm. Set goals and priorities and ensure completion.
* Manage trade show vendors and work together to successfully display CarlisleIT's product lines and messaging.
* Collaborate with and influence media, partner marketing managers, and internal stakeholder's managers to gain alignment and approval for marketing initiatives which communicate the advantage of our brand and specific product innovations.
* Create breakthrough integrated marketing campaigns which will create awareness and preference for innovative product launches.
* Own and execute the on-line marketing strategy. To increase CIT's share of both on-line purchasing and influencing via attractive content and programs.
* Assist with e-commerce initiative.
* Ability to balance the execution of individual projects with long-term planning and strategy development.
* Support product marketing through the development and execution of all marketing communications efforts to support new product launches.
* Oversee development of annual budget and ongoing planning.
* Associate management -- one direct report.
* Develops and coordinates marketing and sales communications materials as needed, including but not limited to catalogs, press releases, flyers, advertisements and trade show booths.

Directly or indirectly could supervise all employees in the Marketing Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Bachelor's degree (BA) in Marketing, Business, PR/Journalism from four-year college or university required; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or environmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, manuals, press releases and advertisements. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
* Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
* Requires knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint programs or equivalent software necessary to fulfill the job functions.
