Job Description


Manage the Inside Sales team to grow and maintain key accounts in conjunction with corporate strategies. Perform critical program and customer support in order to achieve customer satisfaction. Work as a liaison between the customer and operations to ensure Carlisle IT is represented professionally and responsibly in the industry and that our organization meets the expected level of service and quality objectives of the customer


* Lead Sales Team responsible for customer support functions such as quoting, order fulfillment and responsiveness to internal and external customer inquiries to ensure world-class service levels are met.
* Employee development including hiring decisions, timecards, performance reviews, scorecards, development plans, and mentorship.
* Translate customer and employee inquiries into CarlisleIT actions applying strategic logic and problem solving.
* Provides expertise and effective leadership yielding disciplined support of a highly dynamic, growing manufacturing environment.
* Establish professional and responsive relationships with customers as needed to ensure total customer satisfaction while meeting all business profitability objectives.
* Advocate for the customer to execute on challenging deliverables which will have a mutually beneficial outcome for the customer and Carlisle IT.
* Act as a liaison between customer and internal cross functions to ensure all customer expectations are communicated, understood and met throughout the organization in a timely manner.
* Active participant of management team supporting a flexible and responsive business model.
* Develop, measure, and post department metrics. Ensure countermeasures are in place and effective to improve red metrics.
* Facilitate factory sales forecasting process, assisting account managers in analyzing customer data.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the industry and accounts.
* Manage factory projects in support of continuous improvement.
* Project support of Sales Directors as needed.
* Collaborate and align business processes with Inside Sales Managers from all factories.
* Manage programs and performance scorecards for assigned accounts. Follow up with customers to ensure Carlisle IT is meeting or exceeding the service level.

* Prepares reports internally and customer facing as needed, which may include shipment reports, backlog reports, OTD, or other required reports.
* Understands and operates under Carlisle IT's policies and procedures. Has general working knowledge of the process and procedures that relate to the sales department.
* Escalation resource for elevated customer inquiries, including strategic responses that may require multiple internal stakeholder information.
* Collaborates with cross-functional teams as voice of customer in regards to Safety, Quality, On-time Delivery & Cost.

* Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

* Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University preferred.
* Five (5) years or more of progressive experience in professional Inside Sales/Customer Service.
* Strong Management and Team Building Skills.
* Minimum of two years supervisory experience is required.


* Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


* Advanced customer interface skills.
* Experience in fast-paced dynamic manufacturing environment preferred.
* High energy and sense of urgency to meet internal and external customer expectations.
* Highly motivated. Set and meet high performance standards based on excellence for the benefit of the customer, the individual, team members and internal customers.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement.

* Ability to define problems, collect data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.
* SAP experience preferred or other ERP systems and the ability to share this knowledge with others.
* Knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint
* Microsoft Access and other sales-based CRM knowledge beneficial TRAVEL
