Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repairs, adjustments and ongoing maintenance of the facility and manufacturing equipment. This position is hands-on, working on interior & exterior maintenance projects. Provide general maintenance for diagnosing and repairing buildings and equipment at the property including performing basic painting, light carpentry, minor electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work.


* Receives requests for maintenance, prioritizes work, analyzes needs and follows through to ensure request is completed.
* Assists the maintenance supervisor or lead on major repairs
* Responsible for maintaining routine daily, weekly, monthly and yearly assignments to include cleaning, safety and minor repairs to the facility and its assets.
* Backup for Maintenance Assistant, duties and responsibilities.
* Inspects electrical lighting and replaces bulbs
* Adheres to all factory safety procedures and guidelines.

* Maintains clean, organized work environment and adheres to all safety standards, procedures and regulations.
* Contributes to team effort in a collaborative and supportive manner.

* Troubleshoots maintenance calls and performs basic repairs or reaches out for assistance when issues are beyond the scope of one's capabilities and require specialized skills

* Performs snow removal
* Replaces filters and cleans coils

* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum of 1 year of general maintenance experience.

* Heating & Electric: Ability to identify if units are operating properly, make basic repairs such as replacing light bulbs/fluorescent tubes and installing filters.
* Plumbing: Ability to repair/replace sinks, faucets, lavatories, valves, toilet fixtures, etc. install faucet. washers/gaskets; take steps to unclog drain systems and plumbing using augers and drain snakes.
* Carpentry: Ability to repair/replace hardware and make repairs.
* Must have basic working knowledge of plumbing, painting, HVAC, electrical, and general carpentry.

* Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Articulate with use of good grammar skills.

* A team player that can relate to people at all levels of the organization and possesses excellent communication skills with high ethical standards and a positive professional image.


* Ability to measure accurately using a ruler or tape measure
* Able to use a miter saw to cut within 1/16"
* Proficient in the use of tools and power equipment
* Understanding and experience in Lean manufacturing environment

* Writing skills required to complete documents and forms
* Reliable and flexible to work additional hours on short notice to complete orders and/or special projects to meet customer demands.
* Working knowledge of MS Office
* Solid critical thinking skills to analyze information and develop creative approaches to problem solving.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision

* Ability to be flexible and able to function comfortably in a fast paced, constantly changing and ambiguous environment
