SUMMARY
Responsible for the repairs, adjustments and ongoing maintenance of the facility, acting as a point of contact for emergency situations that affect Carlisle IT's ability to operate. Technician will assess and consider daily 1) the safety of our employees, 2) the security of our assets and 3) the service to our members. This position will assist in coordinating outside contractors or vendors for various services, as required.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Receive requests for maintenance, prioritize work, analyze needs and follow through to ensure request is completed
• Troubleshoot and conduct periodic inspections of the facility to determine if maintenance work is required
• Schedule/perform any work to be done at facility
• Assists with maintaining building security
• Perform preventative maintenance per scheduled requirements
• May perform basic electrical, mechanical, air conditioning, plumbing, painting and/or carpentry repairs of fixtures and equipment on company premises
• Move and rearrange furniture / workstations as requested
• Hangs pictures, shelving and monitors as needed Monitors and replaces light bulbs in all areas, as needed
• Check operation of company vehicles and arranges for regular maintenance
• Maintain an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere of company image / facility
• Ensure organization and cleanliness of facility office / warehouse
• Maintain clean appearance of exterior parameter of building
• Assist in measures to prevent slips, trips, falls, physical injury or unsafe acts within employer's premises
• Deliver product related stock (janitorial supplies, snacks, soda and water) to appropriate stock location areas
• Coordinate with employees regarding miscellaneous maintenance requests (furniture, bookshelves, etc.) as directed by the Facilities Manager
• Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager
• Regular and predictable on-site attendance

• Regular standing, walking and kneeling throughout the day to accomplish tasks
• Occasional sitting Manual and finger dexterity used regularly with some repetitive finger motions, and required usage of both hands as needed
• Lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision; able to identify colors, small letters and numbers; hand/eye coordination, depth perception and able to adjust focus
• Hearing and speaking
• Other conditions may include frequent reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, pinching, grasping, gripping, and crouching or stooping
• Must be comfortable and able to work on various sizes of ladders up to 12 feet

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS
• Mechanical aptitude acquired through schooling, outside activities or job experience
• Good interpersonal skills to work with all company personnel
• Able to handle multiple tasks
• Minimum 2 years related job experience in a "handyman" or facilities position
• Able to use standard powered and non-powered tools
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Able to work with various levels of employees
• Excellent organizational skills
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• PC skills are preferred

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma or equivalent

LANGUAGE SKILLS
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is performed in a factory environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Work is also performed in outdoors environment in different weather conditions

Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety rated glasses are required for the job when in the manufacturing areas. Additional PPE may be required when working on different types of jobs.
