Summary
Responsible for longer term planning, coordination, performance and direction of the maintenance workforce, effective maintenance and repair programs, the Preventative Maintenance (PM) leader of TPM and relative Continuous Improvement methodologies, supporting capital projects, equipment utilization and establishment of a strong and sustainable safety culture.

Essential Functions


• Develop an active training plan to ensure maintenance employees are well trained and current on any required certifications to perform the full scope of their job expectations.
• Establishes clear and measurable performance expectations and holds team members accountable for delivering the goals.
• Regularly evaluates the strengths and development opportunities of the team, as well as invests in the growth and development of team members to achieve sustained success.
• Effectively staffs the team by leveraging the appropriate mix of internal and external talent to satisfy both near-term performance and long-term succession needs.
• Supervise and assign work orders to Maintenance Technicians and assure proper safety, mechanical and housekeeping procedures are followed.
• Assist assigned Maintenance Technicians in trouble shooting and repairing equipment.
• Designs and implements effective PM plan to sustain and enhance plant facility reliability; Ensures that the PM plan reflects the equipment and system changeover, aging and modifications.
• Assure proper inventory levels of required replacement parts for cell/area equipment.
• Participate with plant engineering on equipment layouts.
• Assist the Process/Manufacturing Engineer in implementing process improvement changes.

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in work area.
• Participate in team problem solving activities (ie, 8D s, communication meetings, etc).
• Responsible for following and enforcing internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
• Adherence to all company policies and procedures (ie, Quality Manual, Associate Handbook, etc).
• Effectively manages all capital projects/installations and delivers committed results in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Maintains budget (labor, contractor, repair & replacement) and inventory of spare parts in a fiscally responsible manner.
• Coordinate work performed by outside vendors including procurement of cost effective components.
• Ensure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates.
• Prioritize the maintenance and repairs of company equipment and parts.
• Is responsible for the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services, and facility expansion.
• Inspects construction and installation progress.
• Proficiency in prioritizing responsibilities.
• Administers and leads material handling equipment maintenance, acquisition, contracts, and leases/rentals.
• Coordinate activities related to EPA requirements, including report preparations, forms completions, and permit applications to ensure compliance with EPA regulations.
• Shop floor presence and active employee engagement is a requirement



Minimum Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field required
• 5-7 years manufacturing maintenance leadership experience
• Proven Project Management skills where forward looking competence has been demonstrated
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and programmable controller problems.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics.
• Experience making high-impact decisions in fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
