Job Description

This position is on 12 hour rotating nights

* A CNC machinist I, will be responsible for operating a variety of manufacturing tools (i.e., vertical machining centers, 5 axis machining centers, and swiss lathes), set up and operation of a variety of manufacturing tools (i.e., vertical machining centers, 5-axis machining centers, and swiss lathes), to produce precise, metallic and non-metallic parts and components. Responsible for meeting daily production goals (i.e., set up and cycle time), performing first piece and in process quality checks, monitoring machine feeds and speeds, and identifying production issues and reporting them to lead/supervisor.


* Basic interpretation of blueprints, sketches, specifications, standard work, manuals, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
* Proficient at using measuring tools such as; micrometers, dial calipers, height gages, depth gages, and dial indicators to indicate parts and verify dimensions of work piece.
* Set up and operate machines per requirements outlined per drawing, set up sheets, tool lists and fixture requirements.
* Safely and effectively operate multiple machines at the same time.
* Works with fellow team members to select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.
* Verifies conformance of finished work piece to engineering and manufacturing specifications.
* Removes burrs, sharp edges and cleans parts, as required.
* Verify machine programs, tooling sheets, and set-up sheets match work order and drawing requirements.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area, update pacing boards and hourly status boards, according to maintenance plans and established procedures

* High school diploma or equivalent
* Basic math knowledge
* Ability to use inspections tools as required
* 1-2 years experience in CNC machining is prefered
* Must have a working comprehension of the English language complimented with workplace levels of grammar, composition, oral and written communication skills
