Carlisle Interconnect Technologies - Pottstown has a new direct hire full-time opening (Mon- Thurs 8:00am - 5:00pm / Fridays 8:00am - 12:00pm... 1/2 day Fridays!!!) for a Jr. Accountant in our finance department. This is a great opportunity to join a fantastic team and grow your career!

SUMMARY
Process invoicing, account receivables, fixed assets, and assist with month end close and reporting processes.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Processes daily shipments and prepares associated invoicingDistributes invoicing as appropriate and updates tracking systems
* Prepares daily cash deposits and updates accounts and reporting as required.
* Processes daily credit card deposits.
* Researches and processes charge backs, returns, and bad checks.
* Calls and/or mails correspondence to customers as necessary in order to update accounts.
* Responsible for Outstanding Account collections
* Assist in the maintenance, preparation and execution of the fiscal month-end close.
Including:
- Preparation, completion and input of monthly journal entries.
- Review of accounts payable and accounts receivable reporting to verify balances are in line with the General Ledger.
- Coordinate and prepare account reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts
- Generate accrual entries as appropriate.
* Prepare and maintain monthly closing checklist
* Assist with the oversight of both the accounts payable and account receivable functions.
* Provide reports, schedules, and documentation to support internal/external auditing requirements.
* Assists with related special projects and miscellaneous assignments, as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Position requires associates degree or higher and 2 years of general or similar accounting experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

JOB SKILLS:
Must have experience with large ERP systems and understand process flow, Experience with Baan/SAP systems preferred. Must be proficient with Microsoft office products Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus .

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
