Job Description

SUMMARY

To promote, prospect, and sell Drexel Metal products with the goal of increasing sales and margins. 

This position will initiate and maintain contact primarily by making outbound calls and working closely with the Outside Sales Representative to promote growth for the PA, NJ, DE, & NY region. Will strive to provide exceptional customer service by communicating daily with customers, sales team, operations team and finance department.  Salary plus commission.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Process orders through our sales system (STRATIX) in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Communicate with operations, sales representatives and customers throughout the order process flow – from order entry to delivery.
  • Assist sales representatives and customers on estimating, quoting and selling Drexel products.
  • Assist and follow-up on sales leads and projects:  distribute sales leads to assigned sales representatives.  Architects, general contractors, subcontractors, etc.
  • Manage and maintain adequate supply and inventory of all product literature, technical information and product samples.
  • Provide support for technical data, product installation, and product application for all products and residential inquires.
  • Assist Levittown Operations Manager –
    • walk in customers (order entry)
    • Picking small order items (rivets, screws, tape, etc)
    • Provide backup to Jessup CSR’s
  • Provide requested samples & literature to contractors, architects, and sales representatives
  • Promote all Drexel Metals product offerings.
  • Cold call for potential new customers.
  • Work together with fellow employees as a team.
  • Establish and build new business relationships with targeted accounts as identified by the outside sales representative.
