Job Description



Our growing finishing division is looking for an Inside Sale Representative who will partner with Outside Sales to establish professional and responsive relationships with Carlisle's top distributors and key customers to ensure total customer satisfaction while meeting all business objectives. They will hunt for and identify qualified opportunities, initiate the sales process and drive opportunities to closure with both existing and new accounts. They will have a continuous improvement mindset and drive actions that make it easier for our customers to do business with Carlisle Fluid Technologies. They will also examine trends, gather strategic information and execute plans that directly result in increased revenue.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Meets or exceeds annual sales revenue quota by developing and executing business winning account strategies
• Proactively contact distributors and key customers regarding promotions, price increases etc.
• Maintains and grows business with existing accounts and actively pursues new opportunities to develop business with new accounts
• Develops prospects through self-discovery, using referrals and pursuing leads
• Acts as a hunter, determines customer needs, and identifies sales opportunities
• Finds ways to overcome obstacles to achieve growth targets with determination and commitment to selling
• Cold calling of new potential customers required
• Establishes professional and responsive relationships with customers to ensure total customer satisfaction while meeting all business objectives
• Follow up with customers on potential opportunities following a trade show
• Demonstrates thorough understanding and knowledge of the accounts they are supporting and various product brands
• Leads customer conference calls and coordinates with internal cross-functional teams to complete any needed call preparation
• Participates, organizes and potentially leads onsite customer meetings
• Travels occasionally for face to face customer meetings
• Ensures the voice of the customer is heard by documenting customer feedback in the system as needed, monitoring the overall customer feedback log and customer satisfaction measurement, and coordinating actions as needed
• Acts as a liaison between the Customer and Internal team members to ensure all customer expectations are communicated, understood and met throughout the organization
• Responsible for tracking and following up on all active strategic quotes and providing status to the organization including reporting on competitive activity and lost business
• Reviews customer backlog and historical reports to monitor customer ordering patterns and provide early warning to buyers as new orders are needed
• Provides superior customer service support for both internal and external customers
• Proactively prioritizes work and effectively multitasks to ensure required follow up and deadlines are met
• Acts as first line of communication to customer with strong and professional written and verbal communication
• Generates and analyzes reports as needed or assigned
• Strives to meet individual and department metrics as outlined by Management
• Works well under pressure with short deadlines
• May provide guidance/training to less senior department personnel
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• 10 to 20 % travel required



REQUIREMENTS

• Associates degree in business, communication or related field and/or 3+ years of experience in a key account management or inside sales role
• Highly accurate data entry skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently & within a team
• Multi-tasking skills required
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Computer competency -- including MS Office products, internet, e-mail and web based tools
• Must have the ability to remain focused on the job at hand

PREFERRED

• Bachelor's degree in business, communication or related field and 5+ years of experience in a key account management or inside sales role
• Knowledge/experience with spray finishing equipment and its use in industry
• Knowledge of Carlisle Fluid Technologies product line and its usage/position in assigned key industry
• Experience with Epicor 9
• Experience with the EDI process
