Job Description

Utilize engineering principles, processes, and methods to meet customer based quality standards in the most cost effective manner. Resolve technical problems that would significantly affect schedule in support of the manufacturing and product development plans. Through the application of statistical tools, create processes that are capable and in control.
Technical Training to develop the skills and knowledge of its staff through analysis, design, delivery, and evaluation of effective training.
Contribute to the continued improvements and training in support of staff and managers throughout the organization.
Significant problem solving involving changes in products, processes and equipment while maintaining or improving production efficiency, product quality and customer satisfaction

Assisting in the development of new processes including, standard work, Product Instructions and Manufacturing Instructions

Participate in Engineering Change Order process to incorporate Standard Work documentation corrections, routing and BOM corrections and other documentation errors

Assist in evaluating new tools, equipment and processes to aid in production efficiency and safety

Training basic RF theory

Process Time Studies

Router Labor Times

Completion of training needs analysis through assessment, observation, and questioning.

Ownership of an existing database of training courses. Ensure that trainer's notes, session plans, visual aids and handouts are kept up to date.

Able to design new training materials and courses to meet the needs of the company and add them to the existing overall training department's database. The trainer will create and arrange training manuals and visual aids and skills cards after determining the best avenue for offering training on a subject.

Ensure the quality and consistency of course content throughout a course life cycle.

Evaluate and modify the existing training solutions, techniques, and materials.

Provide advice, guidance and support to Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality management regarding assurance/compliance to industry workmanship standards.

Develop and retain an up-to-date knowledge of current working practices by periodically spending time working with the operational and support departments.

Utilize and maintain the Training Database.

Able to evaluate and determine competency of skill and knowledge of those trained, and make pass/fail and hiring decisions based on evaluations.

Validate the trainee's adherence to the training curriculum

Participate and lead Continuous Improvement events

Certified IPC Trainer. Must hold or have held one or more IPC/WHMA-A-620, J-STD-001, etc.

5-10 years' experience in our industry.

Able to prove proficiency by successfully passing more than one CIT certification course (not a challenge test) with scores over 90%.

Must have extensive knowledge of wire harness, RF cable, RF connector build and test processes and process equipment.

Capable of training material production (graphics, layout, and media creation).

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word etc.)

Must be self-confident, have a desire to learn, able to listen, sense of humor, communication, flexible, patient and is capable of standing and walking for extensive periods of time.

Able and willing to travel.

Self Supervised

Manual dexterity used with repetitive motion.

Must have English speaking and leadership skills.

Experience with lean manufacturing and cellular based manufacturing preferred

Experience with data acquisition hardware and software preferred

Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
