Job Description

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Industrial Electrician. Our ideal candidate will quickly learn how our equipment operates, diagnose and resolve problems, and work with our Maintenance Department in developing proper maintenance programs to keep our equipment running at peak performance.
Install and maintain electrical system of the plant to provide power for machines, equipment, lighting, facilities, and other electrical apparatus and gear

• Comply with all codes, regulations and safety specifications
• Maintain controls, values, and calibrations to make sure everything is functioning properly
• Diagnose, isolate and correct electrical troubles involving repair and replacement of controls, motors, switches, PLC, servo drives, variable frequency drives, distributed control systems, instrumentations, re-routing of circuits and distribution center to balance the load on AC and DC power systems
• Make emergency repairs when necessary to off-set excessive downtime and production delays
• Layout installation for engineering specifications and drawings for major projects
• Use instructions or manuals on installations, systems layout, and changeovers to complete project work
• Design and carry out projects to improve safety, quality, production, and ergonomics
• Responsible for teamwork communication with production operators and supervisors

• Physical dexterity: lifting, bending, squatting, reaching, etc.
• Ability to climb on ladders to heights of over 10'
• Walking throughout the plant from location to location

• Equipment troubleshooting


• 2-years Electrician background, plus 1-year industrial maintenance
• Trouble-shoot and repair control panels.
• Work with 3-phase, 480v. REQUIRED
• Detect minor problems by performing basic diagnostic tests.
• Clean and lubricate equipment or machinery.
• Check the performance of machinery.
• Adjust equipment and reset or calibrate sensors and controls.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, as well as work on over-head equipment.
• Ability to operate basic hand tools. REQUIRED
Candidate must have basic electrical knowledge and must know how to install rigid conduit and pull wire.
