Job Description

SUMMARY

Perform preventive/predictive maintenance, diagnose and repair all HVAC equipment in the facility, this includes supportive equipment i.e. air compressors, air dryers and test equipment. This person needs the ability to communicate on a professional level with other supervisors, leads and machine operators. They need to have basic mechanical and electrical skills, the ability to read electric meters and digital controls and be well rounded in their ability to take verbal and written directions. This person will assist all maintenance team members in repairs to production equipment.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



* Perform Maintenance(preventive and predictive) on all equipment assigned
* Disassemble and reassemble HVAC and production equipment
* Diagnose minor issues on production equipment
* Ability to change belts, bearings, oil and other components as needed
* Maintain paperwork and proper documentation
* Operate equipment i.e. drill press, hydraulic press, welder, grinder, etc.
* Ability to use measuring devices i.e. tape measure, calipers, etc.
* Use proper lock out/tag out procedures
* Follow all safety programs

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or general education diploma (GED)

4 years' experience in HVAC duties or HVAC Journeyman's certificate



CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

EPA certificate for refrigerant









LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively.





MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to do basic math addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.



JOB SKILLS/TYPE OF PERSON

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Frequently required to stand and walk

Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
