Strategic business partner to the Director of Operations and staff. Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs, and evaluates the organization's human resources activities, such as employment, compensation, training, benefits, and employee relations. Manages the HR, Training, and Safety departments. This is done in accordance with the policies and practices of the corporation, the ethical and social consciences of business and society, and the laws, regulations and administrative rulings of governmental organizations and other regulatory and advisory authorities and organizations.


* Promotes the power of 500 vision engagement strategy through Carlisle Operating Systems for people, process, and productivity.
* Writes directives and/or provides coaching or training regarding human resources policies and practices as well as modifies and maintains the employee handbook and Code of Conduct.
* Ensures strong talent pipeline for all manufacturing positions
* Administers performance review program to ensure timeliness, effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
* Conducts job analysis, edits and maintains job descriptions.
* Utilize data to drive actions to improve retention, employee engagement, and quality of hire.
* Analyzes wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan.
* Manages Worker's Compensation program; ensures use of Nurse Care Hotline
* Serves as a member of the senior management team which creates and implements policies and procedures.
* Promotes positive employee relationships through fair and equitable treatment of employees; ensures the consistent, impartial application of established Company policies.
* Investigates and partners on employee relations issues.
* Guides plant leadership in progressive disciplinary documentation and PIP.
* Creates documentation and partners with senior management on terminations.
* Manages time, attendance, and payroll systems, processes, and procedures; ensures compliance.
* Manages HR administration, ensures compliance of all record keeping.
* Provides Company monthly metrics, weekly staff metrics, and HR performance board

Supervises HR, Training, and Environmental, Health, and Safety departments.

This is an air conditioned facility with many pieces of equipment that produce heat. The following are potential items encountered: fumes, dust, noise, hazardous/toxic chemicals. Appropriate training is provided and documented based on job placement that complies with OSHA and EPA regulations.

ASTM F--2412--2005, ANSI Z41--1999, or ANSI Z41--1991 rated safety toed shoes and clear ANSI Z87.1 safety rated glasses are required for the job.

* BA/BS in Human Resources, or related degree program.
* HR Management experience with manufacturing companies
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a HR Management role.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in Employee Relations Management role.

Ability to fluently read, write, speak and understand English.

SHRM PHR preferred.


* Capable of analyzing complex and abstract data; and reasoning and reaching conclusions without continued guidance of standards, precedents, or direction from others.
* A team player that can relate to people at all levels of the organization and possesses excellent communication skills.
* An energetic, assertive individual with high ethical standards and a positive professional image.
* Competent in participative management, team approaches and other management techniques for work accomplishment and problem solving.
* Must be a self-starter and be able to meet duties and responsibilities with minimum supervision.
* Confidentiality required: Information routinely handled will be proprietary and highly confidential to the corporation and to customers.
* Displays effective leadership as defined by the Carlisle IT Model Manager guidelines.
* Results oriented and driven personality.
* Extensive knowledge of current Employment laws.
* Computer skills -- General MS-Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills are mandatory; advanced skills in MS Office including Excel and MS-Access are beneficial.
* Other duties as required in support of the department and company.
