Carlisle Construction Materials Incorporated, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an opening for a Human Resource Manager, based in Puyallup, WA.  This position will be responsible for managing and facilitating HR assistance and guidance to managers and employees in their home plant and provide this same support to locations without a dedicated HR resource in support of the Regional HR Manager position. The HR manager will be responsible for working with managers to provide an employee oriented culture involving high standards related to quality, productivity, employee engagement, employee relations, safety, performance goal attainment, development and recruitment of well qualified candidates for both the salaried and hourly production world. This individual will coordinate implementation of company benefits, services, policies and program in conjunction with the Regional HR Manager, Site Management and the Carlisle HR function.

  • Wage Surveys
  • Wage Strategies hourly and salaried
  • Plant floor presence for employee concerns with open door policy
  • Performance Management – Support & Training
  • Talent Pipe Line
  • Review & Refinement of organization design
  • Development of a plant ‘Engagement Plan’
  • Provide resources for assisting staff with developing a workforce involving performance plans, company goals, and improvement systems. Develop training and people development resources and programs with input from staff. Requires collaboration and partnering. Assist leadership with growth and development of highly skilled workforce
  • Responsible for recruitment strategies with managers for salaried and hourly production positions. Involves utilizing administrative staff for cross training and assistance.
  • Responsible for communicating with staff and employees on employee orientation process, company benefit programs and all company communications including handbook and HR policies.
  • Foster teamwork, team accomplishments and encourage involvement and interaction among team members across the workforce.
  • Responsible for assisting staff in safety and regulatory compliance
  • Work closely with Carlisle Human Resources function for input and guidance with corporate benefits, policies and recommendations for improvement.
  • Work with management in developing social events and employee activities with Carlisle policies and guidance.
  • Provide HR counseling and listening ear for employees and problem solving process in conjunction with leadership team. Hold confidences as priority.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to human resources,  training and/or organizational development required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with leadership.
  • HR experience in the areas of recruitment, training, safety, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Strong conflict management and coaching skills.
  • Familiar with safety regulations and efficiencies within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt in various environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
