Carlisle Construction Materials, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology, has an immediate opening for a Human Resource Generalist, in its Greenville, IL facility. The HR Generalist will provide support in the areas of recruitment & staffing, employee training and development, policy development and deployment, employee health and welfare, and benefits administration.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance at the plant level regarding human resource policies and procedures to ensure consistent compliance.
  • Participate in the employment function, including recruitment and screening of applicants, employee on-boarding, facilitating the use of temporary employment agencies and effectively utilizing the job posting and applicant tracking system.
  • Coordinate, facilitate and/or assist in training activities within the facility as needed; maintain plant wide training records
  • Serve as a resource for information regarding the company’s benefit programs; participate in all open enrollment activities, and provide training on new programs as needed.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of the HR function, including posting required notifications, generating applicable documentation and proper maintenance of employee files
  • Participate in planning and execution of company social events & recreational activities
  • Effectively support and foster the company’s open door policy and promote effective communication throughout the plant
  • Develop the ability to process time and attendance records in order to provide back-up as needed
  • Maintain HR files, electronic records, and related information with utmost confidentiality.

Job Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field with at least 3 years of prior HR experience is required. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have the ability to quickly learn new systems in order to complete assignments.  Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with personnel at all levels of the organization is also required. Broad knowledge of employment law is necessary, along with knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements.
