Job Description



The Director of Global Trade Compliance & Logistics of Carlisle Interconnect Technologies, Inc. ("CarlisleIT") will support the strategic development, execution, and management of CarlisleIT's import and export compliance programs in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policy. The Director will act as a strategic business partner to ensure best practices are utilized to operate in an efficient, consistent, and compliant manner. The primary countries where CarlisleIT conducts business include the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Canada, Mexico, China, India, Spain, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Turkey, and Israel.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


B.S. or B.A. degree required and J.D. preferred.

Minimum of 10 years in international trade compliance and logistics.

A record of taking on roles with increasing responsibility.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

JOB SKILLS

Meet the requirements of "Essential Job Functions" criteria.

Manage and support the performance of personnel performing the daily trade compliance activities for CarlisleIT.

Have and maintain expertise in ITAR and EAR regulations.

Prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects with varying deadlines effectively.

Oversee Maquiladora operations.

Manage customs brokers.

Have and maintain working knowledge of CarlisleIT ERP/MRP systems and software.

Oversee the CarlisleIT team members performing the following activities:


Export classification and jurisdiction determinations

Use of DTRADE, SNAP-R, and U.S. Government licensing systems

Export permit and licensing applications

Controlled goods program oversight

Shipment clearance

Respond to inquiries from customs brokers and freight forwarders regarding HTS codes

Denied Party screening

Review and approval of visitor and travel requests

Facility audits

C-TPAT program oversight

Import classification, valuation, and country of origin analysis

Free Trade Agreement analysis and qualification

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is performed in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.
