Job Description

Position Summary:

As the Global Director of Information Technology, you will drive business application strategy and execution for a global manufacturing company in the process of scaling through both organic growth and acquisition. This role has overall responsibility for all aspects of the company's IT outcomes with direct responsibility for application strategy and partnership for infrastructure and security. This role will provide focused leadership on the design, testing, implementation, and support for IT solutions to enable growth and operational success in the business. Success will be achieved by working with global process owners, senior leadership, and end users to ensure technology is fully leveraged to achieve strategic goals and objectives. Because this is a manufacturing company, candidate must have an understanding of fundamental manufacturing, delivery, and sales processes to be ready for this opportunity. Other responsibilities include:

• Develop a long-term technology roadmap working with global business leaders
• Drive all phases of technical project lifecycles, including requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, and support
• Partner with Corporate Infrastructure and Security teams to drive compliance with global policies and procedures, while also ensuring business needs are not compromised
• Lead M&A diligence and integration activities related to business applications
• Coordinate and develop capital and operational budgets for information technology.
• Work and communicate effectively at different levels within project and support teams and across regions geographically
• Proactively develop business relationships, providing solutions for the business' Global needs
• Provide leadership to the global support teams to drive employee engagement and enable continuous IT improvement
• Achieve measurable improvements in the organization's technological capabilities

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Degree and a minimum of 10 years of progression in an IT capacity with knowledge and experience in a manufacturing setting which includes ERP implementation, Order to Cash process development, and manufacturing/cost accounting exposure
• Experience in M&A diligence and integration
• Robust project management skillset and experience; strong decision-making capabilities, with an ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate one(s)
• Strategic mindset oriented towards emerging business trends in technology
• Executive presence and communication skills enabling clear and concise updates on IT strategy and tactical project execution

• Understand IT domains and controls, including security administration, technology change management, data management, business continuity and disaster recovery, operations and problem management, and asset management; security and privacy minded, with an excellent understanding of information security and privacy concepts, principles, and best practices
• Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving skills, systematic thinking, and a good understanding of business process technologies

• Experience in supporting manufacturing environments with IT solutions across multiple locations and geographies

• BS in Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or other related field.
• Minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience (i.e., hands-on experience as an IT Manager or equivalent)
• Experience in supporting a Global business
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence collaboration across the enterprise
• High level of personal integrity and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters with proper judgment
• Occasional travel (up to 30%)
