Job Description


SUMMARY
This position is responsible for assisting with the preparation and analysis of the monthly and quarterly financial reporting requirements for the division. This position is an integral part in maintaining and assuring the integrity of the general ledger of the division and maintaining effective internal controls over financial reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Responsible for month end close of the general ledger, including but not limited to, preparing and posting journal entries, preparing supporting schedules and reports, communicating intercompany/intracompany transactions, uploading trial balances from SAP to HFM and reconciling between the systems.
* Prepare and record standard and non-routine journal entries monthly, including, but not necessarily limited to the following areas: Cash clearing transactions, payroll transactions, intercompany transactions and accrual/reserve transactions.
* Prepare monthly/quarterly account reconciliations for the Division ledger ensuring the accuracy of the information. Determine adjustments required for any reconciling items.
* Assist with reconciliation of Intercompany accounts.
* Manage Fixed Assets module for US CIT locations on SAP.
* Audit Division T&E reports ensuring they are accurate and compliant with CIT policy.
* Provide information to internal and external audit.
* Work with other departments, third parties and parent company resources as necessary.
* Assist with special projects as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required: Bachelor's college degree; 3 - 5 years accounting / finance experience.
Preferred: SAP experience, working knowledge of intra-/inter-company transactions.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
CPA certification a plus

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Theability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. The ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

JOB SKILLS/TYPE OF PERSON

* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
* ERP software experience (SAP and/or Oracle experience preferred).
* Hyperion software experience preferred.
* Continuous improvement mindset.
