Job Description

Position Summary:

The Forklift Operator is responsible for the reconciliation of incoming and outgoing materials, movement of finished goods and material, and any other reports requested by the supervisor or management.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsible for transaction tracking/error control.Responsible for ensuring that products are correctly scanned and pallets are moved to the proper location for shipment to the correct company Distribution Center or directly to the customer
.Must be alert as to potential problems that may affect the quality of the manufactured products, such as improperly identified raw materials.
Responsible for breaking down all cartons and putting in the proper place.
Responsible for initiating work orders for any repairs required to maintain any equipment being used in the area.
The Material Handler must wear appropriate PPE attire is specified according to the job requirements.Steel toe shoes are required at all times.
Responsible for keeping their immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers.Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and Human Resources

High School Diploma or GED Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Forklift License
Physical Requirements: Consistent lifting of 40 lbs. Lifts 50 lbs occasionally. Physical strength and ability to perform moderate to heavy manual labor, including frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, balancing, lifting, carrying, and reaching or handling with arms, hand, and fingers. Will be required on occasion to work more than 8 hours on shift.Manual dexterity sufficient to work with fingers. Normal vision with or without corrective lenses. Ability to operate overhead cranes, mobile equipment, motor vehicles and fall protection equipment as required.
