SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Configuration Management & Administration Supervisor, the First Article Administrator is responsible for initializing and coordinating First Article Inspection (FAI) report documentation with Quality Control in support of product suitability
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• • Prepare and generate first article documentation packages which include drawings, work orders, purchase orders, and material certificates, and ensure specified customer requirements are met
• • Verify accuracy of drawings and associated documentation characteristics to prevent non-conformance
• • Interface with appropriate departments to obtain additional information for product testing or inspection
• • Prepare inspection records
• • Communicate critical material problems to the concerned departments to ensure minimum impact on production schedule
• • Evaluate current work practices and make recommendations for improvements, which will enhance efficiency or improve work product

QUALIFICATIONS:

• • High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year technical degree preferred
• • 2+ years of relevant experience within a manufacturing environment
• • Experience within the Aerospace Industry with exposure to AS9100 and FAA regulations preferred
• • Strong technical skills including the ability to read and understand technical drawings
• • Proficient in word processing and the Microsoft Office suite; Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and associated software experience preferred
• • Outstanding organizational skills and experience with managing multiple deadlines at once
• • Excellent comprehension of the English language complimented with exceptional grammar, composition, oral and written communication skills
• • Proficient in communicating information to individuals and groups in both written and presentation form
• • Strong desire to work in a team made up of a cross functional group of individuals
• • Self-starter that is able to work extended hours as required
