Job Description

SUMMARY

Ensures the safety of employees and the timely completion of FAI inspection, prioritize workload to ensure inspections are completed by their due date. Trains and monitors inspection personnel to ensure high quality products and ensures products are tested and/or inspected according to customer specifications



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Train new and/or existing employees. Work with all inspectors on a continuous basis to ensure procedures are followed
* Facilitate on-the-job training through work assignments and use of mentoring to provide learning opportunities and ensure success for the Inspection Team
* Inspect in-process and/or finished production assemblies for conformance to quality assurance standards
* Verify the conformance of assemblies in accordance to blueprints/drawings, specifications or established operating procedures
* Prepare inspection reports
* Maintain records as required by Carlisle IT Quality System Procedures
* Interface with various departments to resolve problems and when additional information is needed for the testing or inspection of products
* Assist supervisor in evaluating inspectors
* Support company goals and policies
* Responsible for organizing and prioritizing the work load
* Perform FAI inspection.
* Conduct daily FAI Status meetings to ensure effective and timely communication of real-time problem resolution
* Provide regular feedback and performance coaching to all members of assigned team
* Evaluate current work practices and make recommendations for improvements, which will enhance efficiency or improve work product
* Responsible for planning, assigning, directing work and assisting with complaints to resolve problems
* Assist Quality Manager and Quality Inspection Supervisor with performance reviews and talent management for the FAI team periodic written performance evaluations

* This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities



QUALIFICATIONS

* Minimum of 3-4 years inspection experience in an Electronics Manufacturing Company preferred
* Working knowledge of all inspection techniques and instruments
* Excellent reading, writing and mathematical skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Able to work under pressure in meeting time schedules
* Able and willing to work overtime when needed
* Able to work effectively with all employees and supervisors
* Demonstrate a positive approach to problem solving
* Good organizational skills



EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

* High school education or equivalent required
* Minimum of 3-4 years inspection experience in an Electronics Manufacturing Company preferred



LANGUAGE SKILLS

* Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
