Job Description

Performs First Article Inspections per AS9102 and Carlisle's own work instructions and processes, which consists of a complete, independent, and documented physical and functional inspection process to verify that prescribed production methods have produced an acceptable item as specified by engineering drawings, planning, purchase order, engineering specifications, and/or other applicable design documents. FAI Inspectors' job responsibilities also include built-to-print receiving inspections

Completes and is proficient at all levels of complexity of Aerospace FAIs
Completes and is proficient at all levels of complexity of Test and Measurement Value Stream FAIs
Completes one or more SQDC Board tasks including running OTD and Quality Reports or helps with daily T-Cards
Ability to train new inspectors to Quality Control's processes and procedures
Regular and predictable on-site attendance

Certified to IPC-620 and J-STD workmanship standards
Thorough understanding of AS9100 & AS9102 standard is required
Working knowledge of inspection techniques and instruments (example: calipers, micrometers, etc.)
Excellent written and oral communications in English language
Computer Skills and advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook),
Excellent internet research skills
Ability to work under pressure in meeting time schedules
Ability to work overtime, as needed
Ability to work effectively with all employees and supervisors
High School Diploma or GED
1-year FAI experience, preferably with cable assemblies and wiring harnesses is required Excellent ability to read a wide variety of blueprints and drawings

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

This position may/may not require passing annual eye testing as required by customers for production activities. If required, exams will be provided by a medically qualified/trained person and shall be paid for by the company.
