SUMMARY
The essential function of the Facilities Lead is to serve the facilities of Carlisle Kent by monitoring, troubleshooting, repairing and servicing the facilities, maintenance and HVAC systems. Provide facilities, equipment, machinery and HVAC preventative maintenance (PM), with an emphasis on quality work, performed efficiently and following all applicable local and national codes. Must be able to work with suppliers, inspectors, and co-workers to ensure facilities, maintenance, equipment, machinery and HVAC systems remain operational and projects are completed on-time with minimal disruption to operations. Must be able to read drawings and diagrams, perform office activities and assist in maintaining facility systems, equipment, machinery and aesthetics.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


• Lead facilities team to respond to daily, weekly and monthly requirements to maintain a world class operation

• Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel.

• Effectively oversee maintenance personnel to ensure that all assigned activities are performed effectively and efficiently in accordance with plant procedures and local, state and federal regulations.

• Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance.

• Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct job-skill deficiencies.

• Monitor tool and supply inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions.

• Oversee preparation of work instructions that provide direction to the Maintenance Department for corrective maintenance repairs, performance of preventive maintenance and the implementation of modifications.

• Examine objects, systems, or facilities, and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs.

• Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, and maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.

• Assist in maintaining equipment and machinery thru regular PM scheduling and use of contractors

• Carry out PM tasks and inspections of systems, equipment and machinery

• • Coordinate vendor resource requirements and tooling needs

• • Document activities by preparing reports for all incidents

• • Travel between Kent facilities as required coordinating and/or performing service repair as needed

• • Represent company interests in developing long-term supplier relationships

• • Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, and maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use

• • Regular and predictable on-site attendance


• Perform diagnostic troubleshooting of systems, equipment and machinery with minimal downtime


•Other duties as required in support of the department and the company

QUALIFICATIONS


• 5+ years' experience in facilities maintenance of equipment and machinery in a manufacturing environment.

• Minimum 1-year experience as a lead or supervisor


• • Thorough understanding of HVAC components, processes, equipment, standards and terminology

• • Experience in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing equipment and machinery.

• • Works effectively in a fast paced, and rapidly changing environment with ability to multi-task

• Self-motivated, works well in a team and independently

• • Flexible, to work nights and weekends as needed on short notice

• • Demonstrates good judgment and decision-making skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and problem-solving ability

• Exceptional customer service skills


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


• • Bachelor degree or equivalent and five to seven years of related experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS


• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
