SUMMARY
Carlisle Interconnect Technologies (CIT), a $1B division of Carlisle companies ($4B, NYSE), is an industry leader in comprehensive, high performance interconnect solutions for Aerospace, Military, Space, Test, Industrial and Medical Technologies.
CIT is seeking is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Director to lead the Division's global EH&S and Security function.
This new position, located in Saint Augustine, Florida, will be responsible for CIT's EH&S and security strategies, processes and performance, across the company's 14 manufacturing sites, offices and field-located personnel, located in the US, Mexico, China and Europe.
The Director of EH&S will have functional leadership of the sites' EHS leaders and report directly to CIT's Global VP of Operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* With the support of the Company's Senior Leadership Team, establish safety, environmental, sustainability and security policies and goals for the division.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws including maintenance of environmental permits, submission of required reports, maintenance of data, and support of sites in any enforcement actions.
* Develop and implement environment, health and safety programs to foster a Zero Harm culture and to drive continuous improvement in EH&S. Build upon existing EH&S processes and KPI's to manage and measure both the process and the results.
* Integrate EH&S programs and procedures with the Carlisle Operating System framework.
* Facilitate sharing of best practices and establishment of SOP's across the division. This includes working with external peer groups to benchmark and implement best practices.
* Build organizational EH&S capability by developing, conducting and managing educational/training programs and by fostering employee engagement.
* Provide direct support for and be the focal point of EH&S due diligence for new or ending leases, acquisitions and divestitures.
* Develop and deploy of security and crisis management programs across the division and provide guidance during any EH&S/Security emergency situations.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
This position may have direct report supervisory responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is an air-conditioned facility with many pieces of equipment that produce heat. The following are potential items that may be encountered in home site or in domestic factories during visits: fumes, dust, noise, hazardous/toxic chemicals. Appropriate training is provided and documented based on job placement that complies with OSHA and EPA regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

* Expert knowledge of state and federal environmental, health, and safety requirements as well as ISO 14001.
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, occupational safety, industrial hygiene or environmental studies.
* Minimum of 10 years EH&S experience in a Fortune 500 industrial company with a minimum of 5 years in a EH&S leadership role.
* Exceptional communication and team-building skills and demonstrated ability to lead through influence at all levels inside and outside company
* Professional certification (Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, or country equivalent)

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

JOB SKILLS

* Multiple language skills, especially Spanish.
* Multi-plant and global experience.
* Familiarity with wire & cable manufacturing processes.
* Familiarity with Chinese and Mexican safety and environmental regulations.
* Experience with safety compliance, performance and training software platforms.
