Engineering Internship 

Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM), a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an opening for a Engineering Intern, for the summer of 2019 at our Lake City, FL locations  This is a full time paid internship.

Project Summary:

The focus of the internship will be evaluating the plants dust collection and create standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve processes and increase throughput.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities in the current dust collection system and develop solutions that will improve active dust collection on the production line.
  • Create SOPs for at least twenty different presently identified processes or tasks within the production setting.
  • Update any existing SOPs that reach the expiration date during time of employment. Focus particularly on PPE, SD sheets, ergonomics, and other safety aspects
  • Review all procedures developed or updated with production management for approval.
  • Document findings and make recommendations with support from Process Engineering

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be pursuing a degree in a four-year Engineering program (Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering)
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA required
  • Must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have the ability to work in a manufacturing environment

Additional Information:

Candidates must be available to work full-time the entire duration of the internship: May 2019-August 2019.  A formal presentation to an internal audience will be required at the completion of the project.
