Job Description



Summary
The goal of Carlisle Interconnect Technologies Co-op Program is to provide qualified engineering students the opportunity to perform meaningful and practical work in their chosen field while they are completing the requirements for their undergraduate degree. The Engineering Co-op program develops future engineering resources for our organization while providing support to our Power Product department engineers. We structure the co-op projects so that interns will learn to apply technical and analytical skills in real world applications.


Job Description
Utilize engineering principles, processes, and methods to satisfy project objectives related to manufacturing support and development of aerospace data bus, high frequency, and fiber optic cables.


Essential Job Functions


• Assist with development of new products/processes.

• Work with team for support and implementation of data acquisition systems.

• Analyze process variations and develop solutions leading to the implementation of corrective action.

• Utilize problem solving skills.


Requirements


• Currently enrolled an Engineering Program.



• Willingness to learn and contribute.


Work Environment


• Manufacturing floor environment. Business casual dress code, safety eye and footwear required in designated factory locations.

• Collaborative effort with peers, employees, and managers of electrical and mechanical engineers and engineering technicians.

• Appropriate training is provided that complies with OSHA and EPA regulations.


Basic Qualifications


• U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S.

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
