Job Description

* Working as part of a project team, under the direction of the cognizant engineer, the Engineering Technician assists with all type of electrical / electronic design, development, testing, and release of new or improved electrostatic and controls products for fluid supply and coating applications.
• Develop and execute lab test plans and write test reports; for HV generator performance, TE trials, product spray performance and coating appearance evaluations, film build studies, DOE's, failure analysis, and life tests to verify and analyze the design of new products.
• Assist with prototype component purchases, alpha and beta prototype builds, electronics assembly, soldering, lab verification tests, and field trials at customer locations.
• Assists cognizant engineer with drafting and revising CAD files, technical design documents, service manuals, and ISO work instructions.
• Participate in setup and testing for customer validations of new products under supervision of the R&D engineers and application lab personnel.
• Record data and draft formal test reports for approval by the cognizant engineer.
• Clean and maintain lab facilities, purchase supplies, recommend needed equipment purchases.
• Comply with company policies, ISO standards, environmental and safety procedures and laws.




• Must have electrical and mechanical "hands on" aptitude (wiring, hydraulics, mechanics, etc.) and be able to use hand tools.
• Must be PC literate and have experience in Microsoft Office application software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must be a team player with professional interpersonal skills.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in Autodesk and SolidWorks software required.
• Must be able to understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
