Job Description

Under limited supervision, performs a wide variety of complex Medical assembly operations accurately.

To complete the assembly of Medical Devices by means of acceptable processing. This includes basic and Fine wire stripping, shield preparation, and crimping
Utilize hand tools and automated machines and components in conjunction with customer drawings parts list, bill of materials, wire diagrams, schematics, tables and work instructions
Lean Manufacturing knowledge
Build complex assemblies using standard work documents to a high level of quality and efficiency
Operate metal hardware cleaning equipment - Ultrasonic Cleaner and Vapor Degreaser
Electrically Test cable assemblies using Cirrus Test Equipment and adapters
Operate Customer Supplied Video Test equipment
Thoroughly mask cable assemblies undergoing Parylene Coating
Demonstrate knowledge required by Medical PCB, Flex, and Circular Connector Training. Medical Twisted Pair Training. And Medical Contact Block Loading Training
Diligent in working to all required ESD Procedures
Accurately record data on Traveler Tags for Critical to Quality processes
Operate Ovens as required
Operate Water Leak Test
Solder assemblies using Microscope or Mantis Scope equipment
Apply UV, Heat, and Ambient cure epoxy to devices
Expertise in Trouble Shooting Electrical and Mechanical Failures
Test Report File and Storage
Assist with creation of SPG, PG, and AP documentation
Perform Re-Processing and Repairs
Design Verification Test cable preparation and electrical daisy chaining
Assist Engineers with prototyping new designs and material applications
Order (MTRL) / Locate prototype material
Train Medical Electronic Device Specialist II, and III
Utilize CIT software - DBMF & SAP
Assist with Autoclave operations
Assist with Sterrad 100NX operations
Operate Vacuum Oven Chamber
Assist with Hurricane Laser Operation and Programming
Ability to apply Laser Paint on Metal components as required
Parylene Crane operation
Assist with Parylene - Set-up, Run, and Clean.
Assist with Engel Mold Thermoplastic and Thermoset - Set-up, Run, and Clean
Assist with Perform Mold Tool Cleaning and Preventative Maintenance
Assist with Solvent Bonding on Medical devices when required by product guide
Assist with prototype fixture design and implementation
Bead Blasting
Operate Pull Test (Tensile Line) specific to product guide
Operate Specific Customer Supplied test equipment
Interface with engineers as required
Demonstrate proficiency in Thermode Set-up and Solder
Demonstrate proficiency in HDSI Laser Setup and Preparation
Operate Spot Weld equipment as required
Identify wires with use of basic color code sequence, wire codes, wire charts or diagrams
Assist in the training and development of other assemblers as needed
Complete paperwork clearly and accurately relating to the building of cable assemblies
Assist with creation of first article and/or NPI assemblies utilizing excellent understanding of First Time Build process
Demonstrate a high level of creativity; continuously looking for ways to improve and increase quality and efficiency
Regular and predictable on-site attendance

Minimum 6 months as EDSII or EDSII-T
High School Diploma or GED
You must maintain active status in the below Carlisle IT Technical training courses:
Wire Harness Fundamental Modules
Fine Wire Solder Training (T&M)
Medical PCB, Flex, and Circular Connector Training
Medical Twisted Pair Training
Medical Contact Block Loading Training
Tooling Fundamentals (all modules)
IPC/WHMA-A-620 CIS Certification (All modules)
IPC/WHMA-A-610 CIS Certification (All modules)
J-STD-001 certification or Equivalent Solder experience (PCB, Flex circuit board, Circular connectors, Through hole, Surface mount, Solder cups, etc.)
ESD and FOD awareness courses and any other training found to be required
Kaizen participation 1X yearly, Lean manufacturing workshop training
Excellent written and communication skills to include following verbal and written instructions using standard work documents
Demonstrates good judgment and decision making skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Reliable and flexible to work additional hours on short notice to complete orders and/or special projects to meet customer demands
Ability to adapt to schedule changes with a positive attitude and be detail oriented
Understanding of and experience in Lean manufacturing environment
Ability to maintain assembly precision under high stress situations
Demonstrate honesty and integrity when internal discrepancies are found

Optional Training: Soldering Fundamentals Modules. If trained and performing work must maintain competency

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Must maintain industry certifications as applicable to position and value stream that is supported. Including but not limited to; IPC-WHMA-A-620, IPC-JSTD-001, IPC-610, IPC-600 and NASA 8739
