Job Description

SUMMARY

Verifies the conformance of product in accordance to documented procedures to ensure high quality levels at various stages of production.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Inspect and test electrical and/or fiber optic components and electro-mechanical assemblies in accordance with required workmanship standards. Conformance to blueprint/drawing specifications and verification of compliance to purchase order
* Verify documentation to the requirements on the purchase order
* Prepare inspection reports and completes all necessary paperwork relating to the building of cable assemblies
* Demonstrate a high level of creativity; continuously looks for ways to improve and increase quality and efficiency
* Interface with various departments to obtain additional information for testing or inspection of product
* Inspects and tests electrical and/or fiber optic components and assemblies in accordance with required workmanship standards, conformance to blueprint/drawing specifications and verification of compliance to purchase order
* Verifies the conformance of assembled electrical and/or fiber optic components and assemblies by means of:

* Acceptable processing
* Utilization all measuring tools and equipment, test machines and procedures.
* Work in conjunction with customer blueprints/drawings, specification, parts list, bill of materials, wire diagrams, schematics, tables and established operating procedures
* Help train lower level inspectors
* Responsible for work area clean up and work bench organization to 5S standards
* Meet company attendance standards, and exhibit predictable and consistent daily attendance
* Work with Field Support Team to provide on-site customer support when necessary

*Other duties as required in support of the department and the company*

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

* This job has no supervisory responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS

* High School Diploma or GED.
* 2+ years of experience as an EAIIQ or EAIII (or a minimum of one year with equivalent experience with proven performance) and relevant electro-mechanical assembly inspection experience with proven proficiency.

* Minimum requirement of "Certified To" qualification and maintain active status in the below Carlisle IT Technical training courses with 80% or above.
* IPC/WHMA-A--620 CIS Modules 1-8
* J-STD-001 CIS Modules 1 & 2
* IPC-A-610 CIS Modules 1-9
* IPC/WHMA-A-620 CIS Space Application Electronic Hardware Addendum
* ESD and FOD awareness courses and any other training found to be required
* COS training with a comprehensive understanding of lean Manufacturing and 5S.
* Ability to read, write and understand verbal and written instructions and standard work documents in English language.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to include following and communicating verbal and written instructions using customer documents.
* Good mathematical skills with the ability to use multiple measuring instruments accurately
* Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrates good judgment and decision-making skills.
* Able to work under pressure meeting time schedules while demonstrating effective decision-making
* Adaptable and flexible to work additional hours on short notice to complete orders, make a schedule change or work on special projects to meet customer demands.
* Ability and willingness to work overtime are required. Some positions require working a 10- or 12-hour schedule as an essential duty. Work schedule variations due to customer demands are common and should be expected, however, regular 8-hour schedules are typically set as follows:

* Must be willing to share knowledge, demonstrate positive attitude, provide constructive feedback, be honest and respectful, meet professional goals, values opinions of others, and motivate be setting a good example.

* Computer Skills with minimum knowledge of Microsoft office and DB Mainframe

o Day Shift 6:30am-3:00 pm

o Swing Shift 4:00pm-12:30am

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

* High School Diploma or GED
* 2+ years' experience as an EAIIIM or EAIIQ

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must maintain industry certifications as applicable to position and value stream that is supported. Including but not limited to; IPC-WHMA-A-620, IPC-JSTD-001, IPC-610, IPC-600 and NASA 8739

LANGUAGE SKILLS

* Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
* Able to read English language technical documents, including customer blue prints, wiring diagrams and schematics, manufacturing instructions and training manuals
