ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING INTERN

Job Summary:

Carlisle Construction Materials Incorporated, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an opening for an Electrical Engineering Intern, for the 2018 summer at our Carlisle, PA location

This is a paid internship.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Plant Engineering Team to perform engineering design projects within any of CCM’s diverse manufacturing facilities.  Assignments will include calculations, PLC programming, part specification and vendor interaction. 
  • Assist the department with the Process Safety Management program task follow up.
  • Assist with automatic winder installation and commissioning; assist with slitter installation and commissioning and chemical tempering system upgrades.
  • Work with Plant Engineering Team on assignments involving the plant project planning and execution.
  • Prepare and submit monthly status reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be at least sophomore status enrolled in an accredited four-year Electrical Engineering program.
  • Applicants must have strong computer skills, some programming experience, and be familiar with the use of AutoCAD.  Presenting examples of AutoCAD or programming work that has been done by the candidates will be required during the interview process.
  • Interest in working in a manufacturing environment is also required.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

Candidates must be available to work full-time the entire duration of the internship:  May – August 2018.  A formal presentation to an internal audience will be required at the completion of the project.
