In this role, you will perform cable assembly operations to build high-quality cables and wire harness products used in a variety of industries from aviation & commercial aerospace and satellite communications to energy, laser automation, medical technologies, test & precise measurement, laser automation and defense.
These are open-ended temporary positions however; all roles have the potential to convert into a full-time CarlisleIT employee based on performance and role availability. Work schedules may variations due to customer demands are common and should be expected, however, regular 8-hour schedules are typically:
Day Shift 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Swing Shift 3:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Build simple point-to-point wire cables using standard work documents to meet identified levels of quality and productivity
Identify cables and wires with use of basic color code sequence
Complete all necessary paperwork relating to the building of cable assemblies

Responsible for work area clean up and work bench organization to 5S standards
Demonstrate a high level of creativity.
Continuously looks for ways to improve and increase quality and efficiency
Complete the assembly of electrical components by means of:
Acceptable processing

Utilizing hand tools and automated machines and components

EAs work in conjunction with customer drawings, parts list, bill of materials, wire diagrams, schematics, tables and work instructions
Meet company attendance standards and exhibit predictable and consistent daily attendance
Regular and predictable on-site attendance

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must maintain industry certifications as applicable to position and value stream that is supported. Including but not limited to; IPC-WHMA-A-620, IPC-JSTD-001, IPC-610, IPC-600 and NASA 8739

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is performed in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
* High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or 2 years related experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

JOB SKILLS
* Basic math and reading skills required.
* Ability to work flexible/additional hours on short notice.
* Possession of a valid driver's license and good driving record is desirable.
* Basic knowledge of transactions within ERP systems (SAP).
* Computer skills -- General knowledge of MS-Excel, Word and Outlook.
* Able to read, write and understand verbal and written instructions and standard work documents in English-language
* Three months related assembly experience
* You must prove proficiency with an 80% and above average score and maintain active status in the below Carlisle IT Technical training courses:
* Carlisle New Hire training
* Wire Harness Fundamental Modules
* Tooling Fundamentals modules
* ESD and FOD awareness courses and any other training found to be required
* Adaptable and flexible to work additional hours on short notice to complete orders, make a schedule change or work on special projects to meet customer demands
* Able and willing to work overtime is required. Some positions require working a 10- or 12-hour schedule as an essential duty.
