SUMMARY
Under limited supervision, verifies the conformance of assemblies in accordance to documented procedures to ensure high quality levels at various stages of production


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Complete the assembly of electrical components by means of:
Acceptable processing
Able to do back shell install, crimp, strip, jacket removal, connector loading, lace-tie, solder (to required customer specification), solder sleeves, install various types of heat shrink, tubing, and woven braid.
Utilizing hand tools and automated machines and components in conjunction with customer drawings parts list, bill of materials. Wire diagrams, schematics, tables and work instructions.
Utilize lean manufacturing knowledge to mentor other assemblers as needed
Build simple to complex wire and rack assemblies using standard work documents to a high level of quality and efficiency
Identify wires with use of basic color code sequence, wire codes, wire charts or diagrams
Assist in the training and development of other assemblers as needed
Complete paperwork clearly and accurately relating to the building of cable assemblies
Assist with first article and/or NPI assemblies as needed
Demonstrate a high level of creativity; continuously looking for ways to improve and increase quality and efficiency
Provide back-up for leads or supervisors as needed
Interface with engineers as required
Demonstrate knowledge required by Assembler III Training
Optional Training: OJT of fiber install hybrid assemblies
Regular and predictable on-site attendance

* Carlisle New Hire training
* IPC/WHMA-A-620 CIS Certification (All modules)
* J-STD-001 CIS Certification (All modules)
* Kaizen participation 2x yearly
* Lean manufacturing workshop training
* Demonstrates good judgment and decision making skills while having a positive attitude and paying attention to detail
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* Understanding of and experience in lean manufacturing environment
* Able and willing to work overtime is required. Some positions require working a 10 or 12-hour schedule as an essential duty. Work schedule variations due to business requirements are common and should be expected, however, regular 8 hour schedules are typically set as follows:

* Day Shift 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

* High School Diploma or GED
* 1+ YOE as EAII or EAIIQ or equivalent

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must maintain industry certifications as applicable to position and value stream that is supported. Including but not limited to; IPC-WHMA-A-620, IPC-JSTD-001, IPC-610, IPC-600 and NASA 8739

* J-STD-001 CIS Certification (All modules)
