General Summary: The EH&S Coordinator will oversee all Environmental, Health and Safety operations at the Delphos, OH plant ensuring compliance to Corp policies and OSHA/EPA requirements

Essential Functions:

  • Develops, implements, and monitors environmental health and safety systems, policies and procedures.
  • Promotes safety policy and program compliance by leading and conducting  inspections, establishing and reporting on metrics and coaching leaders and employees.
  • Performs risk assessments and recommends/implements appropriate safety practices.
  • Reviews all incident, injury and illness reports, investigates root cause and makes appropriate recommendations to management to eliminate future exposure
  • Develops and implements accident investigation techniques, data analysis, trends and proactive preventive programs and procedures.
  • Oversees and coordinates the activities of the Safety Committee to ensure OSHA requirements are met.
  • Participates in Regulatory inspections.
  • Maintains proficiency in best practices, standards, guidelines, and regulatory changes established by OSHA, EPA, DOT guidelines and all Federal, State and local regulations.

Job Specifications:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in the field of Environmental Health and Safety Management and a Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist Certificate or the ability to sit for the state Certificate, or applicable experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred..    
  • 3-5 years of experience in a health and safety related role in an Industrial environment required.
  • Knowledge of safety principles, methods and techniques needed to define, control and eliminate unsafe physical conditions, equipment and machine hazards and risks.
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity and inventory processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Occasional travel required
