*This position will be located in the Western Region of the country*

Summary of: Director, Sales -- Carlisle Healthcare (West)

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Healthcare, this position has top line sales responsibility for a specific region with direct responsibility for managing/supervising direct and/or indirect sales force. This position interacts with a variety of HQ support departments to drive business with healthcare systems through their GPO contract liaisons. Must be a self-starter and must have the ability to think long term and be a team player. This position is authorized to make decisions regarding price deviations, promotional agreements, and samples.

Essential Duties:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Develop strategic sales plan for Carlisle Healthcare products to achieve top line growth.
• Discuss and develop business strategies with End-Users as well as local and Reps/Distributors.
• Establish/develop and maintain relationships with Dealers / Distributors / Management/ Reps / End-Users and other entities in each market.
• Work with the local representation (either direct report or independent broker) to facilitate the sale of products through the distribution network.
• Develop and execute timely communications plan with sales organization as well as with End-Users and Distributors.
• Negotiate and execute Carlisle Healthcare products contracts.
• Consult with end users and evaluate their needs.
• Review and analyze market conditions in order to take corrective actions to ensure sales plans are achieved.
• Develop appropriate goals for sales team members.
• Work closely with counterpart in Eastern Region to develop and execute strategy.
• Attend local and national tradeshows.

Education Required:

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing or related program required. Master's degree is preferred.

• Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S.). Master's degree (M.A.) preferred.
• It is expected that the successful candidate will have a strong market presence, and will have built up a track record of successive promotion and recognition over a 5 to 10 year period of professional experience.
• It is expected that the successful candidate will have experience working in the industry. Having strong relationships with the major partners is preferred.

Travel Requirements:

• Up to 40% travel, in support of multiple distribution centers and corporate initiatives
