Job Summary:

Weare looking for a Director of Operations to join our team in Carlisle, PA.  In this role you will manage long termstrategies as well as support day to day issues relating to the manufacturingof Accella Polyurethane Systems.

Major responsibilities include: Near and long termstrategic planning, ability to employ input from team for decision making and cometo timely conclusions. Ensure all facilities follow manufacturing best practices(safety, quality, delivery, and cost) and manage teams with mutual trust, respectand integrity. Support and guide businesses toward profitable growth through amix of efficiency improvements and cost reductions.

Job Responsibilities:

•        Create,monitor, and regularly review metrics relating to Safety, Quality, Delivery andCost.

•        Support,guide, and mentor Plant Managers in achieving manufacturing and customerservice initiatives.

•        SupportTechnical/R&D, Engineering/Purchasing department initiatives to ensuremanufacturing groups work within the boundaries of the various quality manuals.

•        SupportCCM’s COS initiatives – to include PD projects, MDI, 5S, TPM, kaizen and bestpractice sharing amongst plants.

•        Ensurefacilities are following OSHA’s required safety programs, policies, andpractices. Assure the establishment of safety committees, safety meetings andsharing of best practices relating to safety.

•        Ensurefacilities safely follow all environmental rules and best practices to supportfederal, state and local laws.

•        Investigatemanufacturing equipment and processes for present and future use.

•        Partnerwith Human Resources.

  • Create and maintain relationships with supporting departments, sales groups and various material and equipment suppliers

  • Lean Manufacturing Concepts and Tools.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or other related discipline
  • 7 + years of experience managing plant operations
  • Strong analytical skills and strong working knowledge of data analysis
  • Strong and effective decision making skills
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational process for maximum efficiency and productivity
  • Proven ability to set strategy and lead a large diverse team
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
