Job Description

Education: Bachelor's degree in business/marketing or equivalent training and/or experience.

Requires excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to resolve customer related problems or gather accurate information to pass on to others. Requires the ability to listen attentively, make sound decisions, and speak with confidence. Person must have a good phone voice and be able to be friendly and engage customer representatives in conversations. Must have organizational skills, strong sense of urgency, high level of confidentiality and high energy levels. Person must be assertive and able to identify delivery problems and present solutions. Attention to detail and ability to follow up is critical. Meet deadlines. Comfortable using a Team approach to problem solving. Individual must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and/or in a cross-functional work team environment. This person must view customer complaints as an opportunity to satisfy the customer, rather than a negative experience.

Answer incoming phone calls from customers regarding product use and availability. Process customer orders from receipt to completion working with the customer and the manufacturing plants to assure timely delivery of product.

• Input customer orders and changes into order entry system while maintaining order board.

• Assist customers and with pricing, delivery and method of shipment.
• Authorize customer returns and follow-up with plant personnel. Issue credits upon receipt of customer returns.
• Prepare export documentation as needed for international accounts.
• Expedite deliveries for customer inquiries and past due.
• Act as "liaison" between plant personnel, product/sales managers and the customer.
• Proficient in Docuware/PSI Capture & CRM.
• Provide forecasts monthly or as required.
• Provide reports as required to sales & marketing personnel.
• Assist with physical inventory.
• Acknowledge receipt of orders to customers.
• File purchase orders, contracts, quotes, correspondence to support Quality System record retention.
• Knowledge of automotive brakes and brake systems a plus
• Proficient in EDI schedules, accums
• Provide Nafta's as required
• Cross trained in OE accts.

• Minimum of 5 years of inside sales, customer service or administrative experience preferably in a manufacturing environment. Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office, Excel proficiency. Experience with QAD operating system is a plus. Diplomatic conflict resolution skills
