Job Description


Performs the daily activities within the customer service area to ensure order fulfillment. Develops and maintains confident relationships with purchasing personnel of customers and field sales. Provides proactive communication regarding account activity to Customer, Sales, Sales Support, Product Management, Finance, and entire Supply Chain (internal/external).


* Acts as primary contact for assigned accounts. This includes receipt and confirmation of customer orders which involves researching material availability, available price record confirmation, shipping method and relevant Customer Service reporting activities/Client portal information communication and retrieval to include order management and invoicing activities for specific clients.
* Coordinates with the Product Design Engineers to respond to technical information requests, which includes new designs and changes to existing designs.
* Coordinate with Master Schedulers to review order status, coordinate changes, and confirm commitment delivery dates to customers timely. Information is utilized to provide routine updates to our customers regarding changes in supply. Provides order related documentation to our customers such as invoices, certificates of analysis, etc. where required.
* Works with Finance to research necessary information to complete credits, debits and any special billing in a timely manner. This includes consignment billing and inventory reconciliation where required.
* Enters all customer feedback (both positive and negative) and ensures follow up is provided to the customer either formally or informally as required. Work with Sales and QM to communicate effectively.
* Professionally handles all customer discrepancies, coordinates with the Quality Department on all quality issues and generates RMA's as necessary.
* Assists management in training of Customer Service through support with procedure documentation.
* Assists with order entry system and other sales related projects when required.
* Takes a proactive approach with outgoing calls, following up with existing account base.

Travel is generally less than 5% of the time.

This position includes access or potential access to ITAR and/or EAR technical data. Therefore, candidates will need to qualify as a US Person which is defined as a US Citizen, or a Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder).

Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety rated glasses are required for the job when in the manufacturing areas. Safety toed shoes or boots (ASTM 2413-11 standard) are required in specific manufacturing areas.

* Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required. SAP experience, or other ERP system desired
