Job Summary:

Carlisle Construction Materials, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an immediate opening for a Customer Service Representative (CSR), at its Phoenix, AZ location, for the Insulfoam division.  This position is the primary point of contact on behalf of Insulfoam with its customers, coordinating customer product requirements with internal functional departments including production, shipping, and outside sales. The CSR will be expected to form strong relationships with customer’s representatives, helping identify solutions which will benefit both the customer and the Company. 

The CSR manages the customer order process from initial customer request for pricing, and presentation of the pricing quote through receipt of customer purchase order and entry into Insulfoam’s order management system, SAP. This individual will also act as conduit between customer and functional groups on any changes to production or shipping schedule prior to customer receipt of product.  The CSR will also take the lead should there be any product related issues once product is on customers’ site. The CSR will manage a limited number of “house” accounts and be challenged to grow sales with these accounts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle all customer requests, managing customer orders from placement through shipment, providing accurate lead times and verifying pricing, credit memos and RMA's.
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations and prepare and present quote to customer in a timely manner.
  • Enter orders into Insulfoam’s order management system, SAP.
  • Manage and document customer issues and act as primary point of contact for resolution.
  • Initiate Customer follow-up on previous take-offs and quotes.
  • Monitor backorders, review rescheduling report daily and communicate in a timely manner with customers on backorder situations.
  • Review open orders on a regular basis and close out old orders as necessary.
  • Maintain a network of appropriate contacts within the various Departments such as Shipping, Purchasing, AP, Production, etc. as well as with external vendors.
  • Identify opportunities that will benefit both the customer and Insulfoam (e.g. filling partial loads).
  • Understand Insulfoam product applications and work with customers to identify best solutions for the project requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • Associates degree required.  Bachelor’s degree preferred or four (4) or more years of related experience.
  • Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Three (3) or more years of prior business to business customer service experience.
  • Applicants should also have basic negotiating, multitasking, math and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and experience with an ERP system, SAP highly preferred.
  • Previous knowledge of building products and manufacturing scheduling is a plus.
