Job Description


SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for maintaining and analyzing the integrity of the general ledger and manufacturing data relating to manufacturing costs and inventory. This position is also an integral part of the forecasting/budgeting process and profit margin analysis for financial reporting and pricing decisions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


• Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic report comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Review and analyze production and scrap variances.
• Review and analyze gross margin by product and product line.
• Review standard and actual costs for validity.
• Analyze capital budgeting requests.
• Establish and monitor key operating metrics to identify areas for manufacturing improvement.
• Participate in facility month end closing process and analyses.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses to assist facility managers.
• Participate in the Annual Budget process.
• Assist with special projects as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's college degree required, 3 - 5 years accounting experience required. Manufacturing experience and / or ERP experience preferred. SAP experience a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

MATHAMATICAL SKILLS:
Theability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. The ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

JOB SKILLS/TYPE OF PERSON

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• ERP software experience (SAP experience preferred)
• Manufacturing experience
