Carlisle Construction Materials Incorporated (CCM), a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an opening for a COS Specialist

In this role you will be the primary COS resource for continuous improvement efforts at CCM locations.  This individual will work closely with business leaders, plant management and local COS resources to assist with all aspects of their continuous improvement program.  This is a highly visible position and requires a broad-based knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the CCM businesses and requires the ability to effectively interact at all levels of the organization.

National travel to CCM locations is required and anticipated to be 50-60%.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying, scoping, and facilitating improvement events
  • Conducting event follow-up to ensure sustainment 
  • Coordinating company-wide programs and initiatives such as Business Process Improvements, Idea System, 5S, Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
  • Coordinate the overall COS journey to establish a culture of continuous improvement, ensure that goals are being met and that the appropriate number and level of events are taking place. Identify and correct weak spots relative to sustainment and continuous improvement.  Partner with leadership to align COS with business needs. Identify and communicate best practices throughout the organization
  • Lead and/or participate in shop floor and business process Kaizen events and coach/train CCM employees with the Lean tools for process improvement
  • Work with manufacturing locations and office teams to increase the value realized from initiatives such as MDI, 5S, Idea System, TPM and the COS Framework

Job Requirements:

  • BS Engineering, Operations, Purchasing,  or Finance
  • Lean Champion certification or Six Sigma Green/Black belt is a plus
  • 2 or more years of experience in a Lean enterprise or equivalent educational experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present to large groups
  • Proficiency with  Lean and Six Sigma tools (Value Stream Mapping, 5S, SMED, Idea Generation, Root Cause Analysis, etc)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
