SUMMARY

Performs Human Resources activities in support of internal client groups as well as proposes and deploys solutions for implementation within the sites. The Human Resources Generalist effectively executes the responsibilities in the functional areas of: employee relations, HR data analysis, talent development, benefits, compliance, performance management, benefits, organizational development, recruitment, compensation, administration of HR policies/procedures/programs, expatriates, new hire integration and special projects as assigned.





ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Conducts onboarding and assimilation for corporate employees
* Manages employee staffing/selection including: requisition preparation, metrics such as turnover, proposes and implements solutions to talent opportunities, participates in external recruitment activities/job fairs, proposes market based total compensation aligned with CIT philosophy, trains assigned clients on selection practices. May coordinate interviews with the supervisors/managers of the respective departments. May assist recruiter in engagement with and use of external employee agencies.
* Conducts exit interviews and makes recommendations to management for continuous improvement
* Administers state and federal legal regulations, company policies and procedures, benefits, timekeeping, ADP-PayForce, eTime payroll, Performance and Learning Management system, Applicant Tracking
* Represents/Responds to and follow up on unemployment claims to outside agencies
* Answers routine inquiries on paychecks, benefit questions and other payroll related matters
* Maintains Human Resources records on payroll and timekeeping databases and also maintains hard copy personnel records, benefit files, medical records, and termination files
* Designs and writes reports to meet management requests and needs for payroll and HR related information using the ADP-PayForce database
* Performs duties related to their benefits program to include benefits communication, leave procedures, open enrollment, etc.,
* Assists in administration of the compensation program to include salary surveys and analysis, statistics, compliance with labor hours, benefits, insurance, sick leave and attendance policies
* Acts as an employee advocate while best representing CIT
* Acts as a coach to peers, leaders and employees when appropriate
* Performs training for all HR systems and tools for new HR team members and new site acquisitions
* Advise management on complex employee relations issues
* Conducts thorough and complete investigations, including documentation and recommendations.
* Thoroughly and objectively investigates employee relations issues and complaints and makes recommendations for appropriate action in support of/directed by the Director of Human Resources.
* Primary contact for all PayForce and eTime related items for the division corporate employees.
* May be assigned the administration of international employee programs, benefits and patriation
* Performs other duties in Human Resources Department, as required, to include composing and typing correspondence regarding payroll and employee reports and procedures, faxing, photocopying, newsletter, assembling booklets, filing, document packets, etc.

TRAVEL

Up to 25% of domestic travel to CIT sites; travel may be sporadic.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

* Minimum BA degree in Human Resources or Business field
* HR certification preferred
* Minimum 3-5 years HR Generalist experience required



JOB SKILLS

* Thorough knowledge of labor and employment law, worker's compensation and statutes
* Strong personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office
* Excellent communication skills, ability to work effectively with both employees and managers. Able to convey a positive and professional image to employees and external contacts
* Ability to lead the application of CarlisleIT policy, procedure and within client groups and contacts
* Ability to speak effectively in front of groups of managers and employees
* Competencies for success in role include acting as a trusted advisor, being business savvy, acting as a coach, having business acumen, and able to influence stakeholders
* Ability to demonstrate an understanding of key business and mathematical concepts
* Ability to solve practical problems and make decisions
* Able to maintain a clean and organized working environment
* Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of payroll and human resources work
* Ability to work evenings and weekends as the need arises
* Initiative is a must!
* Knowledge of employee patriation and work Visa protocols and procedures highly desired
