Carlisle Interconnect Technologies - Pottstown has a great opportunity for a Configuration Specialist to join our engineering team. This position will focus on working with project engineering to ensure accurate flowdown of requirements by developing control plans as well as completing First Article Inspection Reports. The Configuration Specialist works with engineering to complete activities related to Engineering Change Orders, Control Plans, first article, ERP updates related to BOMs, routing and material/item definitions, quote and item release processes.

* Coordinates Engineering Change orders (ECO) by updating/maintaining documentation, BOMs, routers, revisions, and product costing as directed by engineering.
* Creates/Updates Documents, Bills of Materials, and Manufacturing Routers for made to order products using ERP system, Engineering Databases and configuration tools under engineering direction.
* Coordinates Control Plan development First Article Inspection Activities. Generates First Article Reports for new products per AS9102 Standard.
* Performs cost analysis to identify cost impacts to ECO changes and communicate to management.
* Performs item, BOM, and router maintenance and configuration management functions in Baan (ERP) System.
* Performs review of Customer Clauses for Sales Orders to determine impact and ensure compliance.
* Responsible for maintaining a lean work environment. Supports 5S in area, identifies process improvements and waste reduction opportunities.
* Participate in continuous improvement activities, kaizens and projects related to engineering and configuration management processes.
* Performs various engineering and configuration management tasks as required.

* Level I - Entry Level. Once trained, able to complete day to day tasks with little supervision, but requires guidance and oversight on more complex projects. Associates Degree is preferred.

* Level II - 2 - 5 years experience. Firm understanding of engineering and manufacturing requirements, processes and configuration tools and databases. Able to effectively navigate, overcome obstacles and manage activities listed above with little supervision. Associates Degree is preferred.

* Level III - 5 - 10 years experience. Repeatedly demonstrates success in effectively organizing, planning, and execution of activities listed above. Considered a Subject Matter expert in areas listed above and works to improve efficiency and quality of processes (PCD generation, ECO, FAIR etc) via process changes and system implementations. Effectively Trains and provides guidance to other personnel. Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field or Associates Degree is preferred.

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

* Detail Oriented. Able to interpret customer requirements and successfully translate into manufacturing documentation efficiently without error.
* Planning -- Able to multi-task, and prioritize work effectively in order to achieve deadlines.
* Teamwork/Interpersonal Skills - Able to communicate (verbally/written) and work effectively with planning, production, QA and Sales.
* Computer skills -- Advanced use of Microsoft Office Products. Able to become proficient at advanced configuration database software used to create documentation, BOMs and routers.
