SUMMARY
The Carlisle Operating Systems Manager position serves as the point person in each factory for all activities related to implementation and maintenance of the Carlisle Operating System.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Champion the LEAN cause, implement and lead the Carlisle Operations System program.
* Organize and lead all Lean Kaizen events in Pottstown as necessary.
* Establish and Monitor Lean Continuous Improvement metrics with all company department managers.
* Own the Policy Deployment X-chart and TTI bowling metrics tables, ensuring monthly inputs are complete from each department.
* Own the site productivity plan, ensure all projects are updated on-time, upload plan in DPLOY and update both DPLOY and Power BI COS savings value monthly.
* Continually work with supervisors and Cell leaders to ensure continual progress is being made in all production areas to affect LEAN systems and Culture.
* Lead the implementation of Lean culture to all administrative areas assessing the needs for Kaizen events.
* Ensure 30, 60,90-day Kaizen reviews are proactive and completed in a timely manner.
* Maintain monthly plant metrics and TTI Bowling Charts.
* Provide a Summary activity report and plan of action to the management team by the 5th day of each month.
* Ensure all LEAN activity boards and records are current and updated throughout the factory.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

The following supervisory responsibilities exist within this position:

* Hire employees
* Mentor and advise direct employees and the organization regarding lean principles
* Recommend employee promotions
* Assign and evaluate work for direct employees and those in need of lean training
* Terminate employees
* Review performance semi-annually
* Recommend pay levels and merit increase percentages

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is performed in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety rated glasses are required for the job when in the manufacturing areas. Safety toed shoes or boots (ASTM 2413-11 standard) are required in specific manufacturing areas.

TRAVEL
Travel may be required infrequently.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

* Bachelor's Degree in Business Operations, engineering or other related field preferred.
* 5+ years of management experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

JOB SKILLS


* A strong knowledge of Lean techniques including 5S and Kaizen.
* Lean Certification or Six Sigma Green Belt is highly desired.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
* Proficient within MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Working knowledge of Carlisle business, production, materials, order process and systems.
* Excellent written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills; the ability to communication with a diverse group of people.
