Job Description





The emphasis of this position is the design, development, and detailing of new and/or adaptation of existing brake and brake actuation systems using Creo. Must have strong design and creativity skills to develop solutions for customer's equipment that meet internal & customer goals.



Specific Duties:


* Design and detail new and/or adapt existing brake and brake actuation products as part of a product development team
* Uses geometric dimensioning and tolerance in conjunction with drawings and tolerance stacks
* Create documentation associated with projects including engineering change notices, Creo CAD models, and associated component drawings, within a PLM (Product Life-cycle Management) environment
* Work with manufacturing and quality departments to help ensure manufacturability of designs
* Design fixtures for testing the durability and performance of brake products



Associate degree in CAD or equivalent experience in related field

3 years hands on experience with Creo in a manufacturing/design environment -- familiarity with construction / mining / agriculture equipment a plus.

Experience modeling and detailing cast and precision machined components

Experience with GD&T

Working knowledge of machining processes

Basic mechanical aptitude -- knowledge of brake and brake actuations systems preferred

Experience with designing hydraulic components a plus

Strong communication skills

Ability to work in a fast paced team supporting customer solutions
