Job Summary:

Carlisle Construction Materials, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an opening for an Accounting Intern, for the Fall 2019 – Summer 2020, at our Carlisle, PA location.  This internship will offer on the job experience and will focus on Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

This internship is part time during the 2019 fall and full time during the 2020 summer. 

This is a paid internship.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in auditing the company’s Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) for quarterly certifications including:
    • Review of key internal control activities in Revenue, Inventory, Financial Close, Expenditures, Accounts Receivables, Fixed Assets, Warranty and H/R Payroll.
    • Review Electronic Audit Evidence (EAE) documentation.
    • Assist in reviewing and implementing new corporate financial reporting requirements.
  • Assist in providing data as requested by external and internal auditors during interim and year end audits.
  • Access to SAP business systems (gain knowledge in SAP and company BPP’s, as well as report/data extraction).Trial balance reports, reconciliation lists, accounting document reports.
  • Assist in Physical Inventories of Raw Materials, Semi-Finished Goods, and Finished Goods.
  • Support daily and month-end accounting duties related to CCM divisions.

Job Requirements:

Applicants must be at least junior status, enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited institution, majoring in Accounting or a related field. The ideal candidate will have strong analytic and computer skills, including a strong knowledge of MS Office suite.  Strong communication skills, both verbal and written are also required.  Experience with SAP is a plus. 

Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

Minimum 10 hours worked  during the fall 2019 semester. 

Candidates must be available to work the entire duration of the internship: September 2019 – August 2020.  A formal presentation to an internal audience will be required at the completion of the project.
