Job Description

Responsibilities may vary depending on plant location. Warehouse Supervisor is accountable for controlling the flow of inventory and maintaining strict control of inventory accuracy. This may include receiving, material movement, allocation, shipping, or other activities including responsibility for personnel assigned to support these activities.


* Supervise and administrate procedures and personnel for the stockroom, storeroom, receiving, shipping, and/or material movement as assigned
* Use forklift, narrow aisle lift or other machinery to move and store material properly as applicable
* Proficient in all warehouse operations with the ability to train and perform tasks
* Oversee and maintain the inventory of shipping supplies and authorize purchases for required supplies
* Responsible for all allocations and/or shipment of material to meet customer fill needs
* Accountable for the accuracy of the inventory, including driving cycle count activity to ensure accuracy of inventory and identify and correct root causes of inventory errors.
* Maintain orderly, clean and safe work area
* Administrate the review and prioritization of finished goods through final inspection (if required)
* Coordinate the shipping and production priorities with line supervision, dictated by management and the MRP schedule backlog (if required)
* May be accountable for the final close of work orders and the remedy of negative committed quantities (if required)
* May be responsible for scheduling of outside processing materials
* May be responsible for equipment training and certification for assigned personnel

* Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of non-supervisory personnel. Carry out leadership responsibilities in accordance to company policies, procedures, safety and applicable laws.
* Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assisting, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
* Provide ongoing training to applicable staff developing and encouraging their technical and operational performance. Meet with appropriate staff on a timely basis for performance evaluations and goal setting

* Excellent knowledge of Traffic and Warehouse management and/or Scheduling/Resource Requirements Planning is preferred
* Ability and experience operating forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, re-spoolers and other warehouse machines as required
* Computer and keyboarding skills required


* High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
* AA or Bachelor Degree in Business Supply Chain or Technical preferred
* Three (3) or more years' supervisory experience

Must maintain industry certifications as applicable to position and value stream that is supported. Including but not limited to; IPC-WHMA-A-620, IPC-JSTD-001, IPC-610, IPC-600 and NASA 8739

* APICS/ISM/Supply Chain certification or willing to complete first three (3) modules of APICS certification program (or equivalent) within two years of employment is preferred

* Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

* Basic math skills.
* Experience with ERP systems required; Experience with SAP preferred.
* Communicate effectively and maintain relation with internal and external customers.
* Handle interruptions and maintain focus.
* Team oriented individual willing to work cross functionally in various areas of the facility.
* Able to work flexible/additional hours on short notice.
* Possession of a valid driver's license and good driving record desirable.
