Job Description

* Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, harnesses, instruments and mechanical assemblies.

* Reads and understands technical drawings, procedures, and industry standards.

* Performs test process verifications.

* Writes test procedures and trains technicians on performing tests.

* Provides leadership, training, and mentoring of test engineering technicians.

* Participates in closed loop corrective action teams.

* Performs failure and root cause analysis, implements corrective action, and verifies effectiveness of corrective action.

* Operates programmable quality control equipment.

* Assist in product design, development, and production.

* Ensures proper test-related documentation is completed, verified and approved.

* Prepare written reports and makes recommendations for procedural changes.

* Ensures quality of all incoming & outgoing projects.

* Develop new apparatus or fixture designing for testing in a manufacturing environment.

* Perform test data analysis.

* Utilizes knowledge of electrical (digital/analog), & RF theory for testing products.

* Operate and Program a variety of computer, automated and manual test equipment

* Oversee several projects simultaneously and provide scheduling support to operations

* Automation programing for a variety of equipment

* Assist with pre-sales activities for test project proposal and services capabilities

* Streamline data gathering, storage and access to minimize effort required to generate required customer reports

QUALIFICATIONS:

* 4-year electrical engineering degree plus 3-5 year's experience or 10+ years in a closely related technical field.

* Advanced electrical (digital/analog) & RF theory knowledge.

* Advanced automation programing preferred. (C, Java, Batch, Lua, Logic)

* Hands-on experience with operation and programming of bench RF/DC/AC test equipment such as Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Power Meters, Pulse Generators, Oscilloscopes Spectrum Analyzers, HI-Pot Testers & Cable Harness Testers

* Experience with developing production test systems and its subsequent commissioning/training

* Advanced schematic interpretation.

* Ability to use precision measuring devices.

* Solid documentation, organization and record keeping.

* Ability to prioritize and organize tasks daily to meet deadlines.

* Ability to train and ensure quality processes will meet the customer requirements.

* Knowledge and ability to comprehend engineering drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams.

* Demonstrated experience with customer's relations: strong communication skills and ability to manage customer's interaction at engineering level

* Comprehensive knowledge of equipment utilized for testing.

* Execution of tests in strict accordance with the quality system

* Knowledgeable of manufacturing processes and procedures.

* Understanding of RF, Analogue, Digital Circuits in relation to test development; understanding of hardware test requirements for volume manufacturing

* Moderate 3d & 2d CAD designing skills preferred

* Personal computer skills:

o Moderate to advanced skills using Microsoft Word and Excel.

o Moderate skills using Microsoft Access and PowerPoint.

* Advanced reading and mathematical skills.

* Must have good communication skills, both written and oral.

* Ability to work under pressure in meeting time schedules.
