SUMMARY

The Systems Administrator is responsible for the ongoing administration of Carlisle CIT's Microsoft Windows platforms, servers, applications, services and desktop systems with a focus on Active Directory services, security and networking systems at the respective plant location. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, patch management and security updates. The systems administrator will be responsible to work with servers, firewalls, telephone systems, client computers and peripherals, and network connectivity. The individual will have responsibility as assigned for IT security design, troubleshooting and support day-to-day operations of users and its systems. Support, maintain, patch, update and troubleshoot LAN/WAN systems, remote connectivity support, system installations, maintenance, documents and tracks issues and fixes. This position requires excellent communication, documentation and time management skills, and the ability to coordinate well with a team. The expectations of this position also include support for division-wide systems and IT projects as assigned. This person will be expected to show personal initiative and assume primary ownership for these duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Windows server installation, setup, configuration and administration.
* Virtual host administration (VMware and/or Hyper-V)
* Achieve critical business applications and server uptime.
* Achieve system uptime for critical servers or services.
* Continuous and accurate Microsoft server setup, security and maintenance.
* Maintain system security and patch management to all systems in the local area network.
* Assist with licensing compliance and annual true-up activities as applicable to the site.
* Achieve compliance with Carlisle Companies IT policies and procedures as they related to the site.
* Assist network administrator and engineer with information security practices.
* Manage backup operations for local systems, utilizing either physical media or online storage capabilities. This will include servers and end-user computers.
* Manage Moves, Adds, Changes and Terminations (MACT) for end users at the site.
* Maintain helpdesk resolution within Service Level Agreement (SLA).
* Site specific budget development and management.
* IT Project Management -- create and manage project plans with goals of delivering every project on time, within budget and within scope.
* Internal controls (Audit) as applicable to the site -- maintain guidelines for a system of internal control. Conduct self-audits and reviews to assess compliance.
* Disaster Recovery for site critical applications -- ownership of all DR related topics including; documentation, design, planning, testing, and reporting.
* Documentation -- maintains current and accurate documentation for the following: SOP (standard operating procedures, Processes, Contracts, Software licensing, managed services, systems and networks, etc.
* KPI's (key performance indicators) -- maintain accurate and timely reporting of KPI's identified.
* Continuous and accurate inventory of all local network and systems.
* Budget planning and creation for site related IT initiatives.
* Client computing responsibilities to include:

* Standardization of applications, hardware and version control.
* Imaging -- process and procedure standardization and maintenance of current images
* Maintaining client security -- anti-virus client remediation
* Ownership or client computing hardware lifecycle
* Maintaining accurate asset reporting

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES



There may be direct supervisor responsibilities for this position.



* Direct and support local IT activities and staff.

* Responsibilities could include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning assisting, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
* Provides ongoing training to applicable staff to develop and encourage their technical and operational performance. Meet with appropriate staff on a timely basis for performance evaluations and goal setting.
* Ensures company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all department functions.





SITE SPECIFIC

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidates should have:

* Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University (Information Technology, Information Systems) preferred. Applicable experience can be substituted for college education.
* Four (4) to seven (7) years of progressive experience in professional information technology position(s) is required.
* Experience in Microsoft Server, Microsoft Office, Microsoft SQL server, Citrix, Windows Remote Desktop, Active Directory administration, VMware are required; advance skills are preferred.
* CompTIA A+, CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), VMware Certified Professional, certifications preferred, or relevant experience.
* Skills including planning, purchasing and sourcing is desired.
* Advanced customer support and interface skills.
* A team player that can relate to people at all levels of the organization and possesses good communication skills.
* An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and a positive professional image.
* Ability to be flexible and able to function comfortably in a fast paced, constantly changing and ambiguous environment.
* Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
* Ability to communicate well in written reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals desired.
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, suppliers, and employees. Portrays a positive and professional image. Ability to establish relations with a wide range of personalities, cultural backgrounds and educational levels.
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.
* Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems, as well as manufacturing process and procedures, and the ability to share this knowledge with others is desired.

Work is performed in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level is usually low to moderate. Occasionally the job may require that you enter the production area, which you will need to maintain OSHA safety standards.
